12 Days Mardi Himal Trek

Overview

Mardi Himal trek was accessed only by limited trekking groups with tents and catering team for long time. The trek follows beaten trails of shepherds as it still provides summer grazing. The trek was officially opened in 2012 and is still pristine. There are limited teahouses with basic facilities. This is a short relatively easy and unspoiled trek not far from Pokhara. Yet it is highly diverse with cultural insight, beautiful forest walks and alpine landscape. As the trail mostly stays along the ridge, the altitude gain becomes more gradual.

Itinerary

Kathmandu:

Upon Arrival Kathmandu, meet, greet and transfer to hotel check in. Breifing about the trek .Trek preparation. Free to explore thamel bazaar a popular touristic market of Kathmandu valley which offers a glimpse of Nepal`s vibrant ethnic culture. Evening welcome dinner. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Kathmandu-Pokhara drive – 7 hours:

We will have an early morning scenic private drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara through the Prithivi Highway. Reaching the Pokhara. The road passes through the breathtaking views of Hills on right hand side and a river on left. We will first check in at hotel and after some refreshment .we will go around visiting beautiful tourist town at lakeside. Overnight at hotel.

Drive Pokhara to Kande and Trek to Pothana:

Drive Pokhara to Kande and trek to Pothana After an early morning breakfast in our hotel in Pokhara, we take a short drive to Kande and start our adventure. The trials leads us throught the breathtaking typical local villages of forest and we are going to walk on few stone steps, terraced fields. We would take our lunch on the way before reaching to our camp. After having lunch we will go continually towards beautiful village of Pothana. Overnight stay at lodge.

Trek Pothana to Forest Camp at Kokar:

Today our hiking goes through the lush forest dotted with beautiful flowers of rhododendrons which is a national flower of Nepal. As we reaching our canp forest camp than we take some good rest while exploring the area and surroundings. Overnight stay at lodge.

Trek Forest Camp to Low Camp:

Our trek will continually go though oak and dense forests admiring beautifully Nepalses culture and rich biodiversity along the way and we finally reach as our Low Camp, as we reachi this place we really surprised while seeing a fantastic view of Mt. Machapuchhre and Mardi Himal even closer. The place is surrounded by stunning green vally and thrill mountains range. Overnight at lodge.

Trek Low Camp to High Camp:

Today our trial leads us the even high reagion of a valley as we hike alongside a ridge valley towards thrill mountain view of Machhaoucharre and Mardi Himal. As we make our ascent continually towards the high canp the final destination of this trek we might see the Daphne pheasant (the national bird of Nepal) once we arrive at the high camp them we will observe the breathing view of mountain range with an isolated valley of Annapurna Range.

Trek Excursion to Mardi Himal Base Camp:

Today is a final day of our ascend while trekking in this region. After reaching to upper viewpoint than we descend down on our way to Upper view point. The trails is quite narrow and sometimes stepson the ridge. Reaching the high camp the view is outstanding. We can see the stunning mountain of Mardi Himal, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Baraha Shikhar, Machapuchrre and many more exotic peaks.

Trek to Siding Village:

We are taking an exciting trek back to Siding Villages. Siddhing village is less crowed and outstanding village. Spend a night with the glorious view of a green valley.

Trek Siding Village to Lumre and drive to Pokhara (2 hrs drive):

Today is our final trek day. We take an early morning breakfast at the same tea house here and walk towards Lumre village. We will be picked up there and drive to Pokhara. Refresh and explore lake side in the evening. Overnigh at hotel in Pokhara.

After breakfast drive Pokhara to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu:

After breakfast enjoy a five hour scenic drive along Trisuli to Kathmandu.. Upon arrival check in hotel. Afternoon free to explore Thamel.

Free and Easy Day Kathmandu:

Early in the morning after breakfast today you are free to explore your surrounding and shopping on your own. Evening farewell dinner and overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

End of Trip:

After breakfast final Departure transfer to Airport. Drop to the airport as per the flight schedule.
