Overview

Sacred Tibetan culture permeates every inch this expedition, seemingly touching everything in its path. The opening of the Tamang Heritage Trail, which was once an unexplored part of the Langtang National Park, allows you to venture deep into the Tamang hinterland. This trek takes you through the verdant midlands and into Tamang villages including Briddim and Gatlang, where you will have a chance to immerse yourself in local culture. The Tamang people were originally Tibetan horse traders who used to migrate back and forth between Tibet and the lowlands of Nepal. They are considered one of the oldest tribes of Nepal, with roots tracing back to the ancient people of Mongolia. Your trek takes you through alpine terrain, meadows and rhododendron forests, taking in soaring views of Manaslu Massif, Ganesh, Langtang and Jugal Himal.

Itinerary

Kathmandu Arrival:

Upon Arrival Kathmandu, meet, greet and transfer to hotel check in. Breifing about the trek Trek preparation. Free to explore thamel bazaar a popular touristic market of Kathmandu valley which offers a glimpse of Nepal`s vibrant ethnic culture. Evening welcome dinner. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Kathmandu to Syabrubesi :

Early in the morning after breakfast, we drive to Syabrubesi. Lunch will be on the way .Our bus goes through the beautiful countryside, with terrace field, green valley as well as magnificent views of Mt.Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Langtang and more. Dinner and Overnight at a local guest house at Syabrubesi.

Trek from Syabrubesi to Gatlang via Goljung:

Today, we start our trek ascending to view point from where we can see close view of Mt. Ganesh Himal.As the name describe, we can experience tamang culture with typical tamang houses, people on the way. An hour down hill from the view point bring us Goljung village for the lunch, and further 3 hours walk bring us in Gatlang village for the overnight.In the evening you can visit Monastery as well.

Trek from Gatlang to Tatopani.:

Today, after breakfast we start our trek descending to Thangbuchet and to Chilime village. After having lunch in Chilime village, we cross the suspension bridge and go all the way up to Tatopani village for the overnight. After the long and hard walk, we can enjoy hot bath in natural hot spring.Local people believe that hot bath will cure skin problem as well as aches and pains. Trek from Tatopani to Thuman via Nagthali. :

Today, start our trek ascending to Nagthalidanda. This is the best view point of our trip as we have long panoramic view of Mt. Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Kerung and more. On the way, we may encounter wild dear, monkey and other animals before we arrive at another big Tamang Village Thuman for the overnight. Dinner and overnight at lodge.

Trek from Thuman to Timure :

After breakfast, we start our trek. On the way to Timure we visit historical Rasuwagadhi, a border of Nepal & Tibet, which used to be old trade route to Through Timure. We can explore Tibetan Burman culture. A fort here also remind us old relation between Nepal & Tibet. Dinner and Overnight at Guesthouse.

Trek from Timure to Briddim :

Today, we have pleasant walk to Briddim, where we have unique home stay experience. We enjoy our evening with the host family, eating and living together. They provide us there usual clean bed for the sleeping. Local people gather and perform their cultural and tradition song and dance. Live craftsmanship also an attraction of this village. Dinner and Overnight at local house.

Trek from Briddim to Syabrubesi:

Trek from Briddim to Syabrubesi Today is our last day of walking. We start our trek with gentle down hill. We enjoy our walk with the nice terrace fields, local villages along with nice surrounding of high hills. After about 3 hours walk we arrive in Syabrubesi for the Overnight. Dinner and Overnight at the Lodge.

Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu:

Today we take our breakfast early in the morning and drive to Kathmandu. It is same way drive back with nice view of green valley, terrace field and picturesque mountains. Upon reach in Kathmandu transfer and check into hotel. Evening free on your own to explore your surrounding and to do shopping. Evening Fare well dinner and Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Final Departure :

This is your last day in Nepal. You can do shopping or buy some souvenirs for your family, friends or relatives until your departure to airport. We will transferred to the International Airport for your departure your onward destination.

02 nights in Kathmandu at hotel on twin/double sharing basis with Brekfast
01 Welcome dinner and farewell dinner during the First and Last day in Kathmandu.
07 nights on trek at Normal Tea house with daily breakfast lunch and dinner.
