7 Days Nepal Culture with 3 days Shivapuri Chisapani Trek
Shivapuri is the second highest peak among the hills surrounding the Kathmandu Valley. It is 2732m at its peak with numerous sharp ridges radiating to all sides. Situated towards the north of the Kathmandu Valley, due to its strategic location and convenience, Shivapuri was proclaimed as a watershed area supplying more than a million liters of natural spring water to the city. The highest point of the ridge, at 2732m provides stunning views of the city and its outskirts. Much of the trek is made through unspoiled old growth forests of oak, rhododendron and beech. Spotted deers, monkeys and jackals are seen along the trail. The trek goes through medieval villages, rice fields, terrace hills and magnificent view points. This easy walk offers a rich insight into the lives, history, culture and religion, together with the daily toil in the fields of its inhabitants. This is an easy route for people wanting to hike around the Kathmandu Valley.
